Stockwood Craft Museum is housed in an 18thC stable courtyard and illustrates life in pre-industrial Bedfordshire. Outside, the beautiful walled gardens follow period themes including the medieval knot garden, the Victorian garden and the cottage garden. A separate building presents the famous Mossman Collection of horse drawn vehicles, one of the largest collections of its type on the country. Finally there is the intriguing Hamilton-Finlay Sculpture Garden. The Conservatory Tea Room offers snacks and the museum shop sells a range of gifts.
